Artist's Introduction: Edge of Pond

This is a painting of part of the Erie National Wildlife Refuge near Cochranton, PA. It was the last day of winter in the year 2003 and the temperature was in the seventies. It was just a beautiful day. Even though it was still winter this day gave us hope of the spring and summer to come. In the painting you can still see the ice on the frozen pond and the last bit of snow in the open field.
