Artist's Introduction: Winter in Black Ash
One winter day while taking pictures of my own barn to paint, a stray cat followed me for several minutes. I took her picture and decided to put her in the painting. What attracted me to this particular scene were the small breaks in the clouds that allowed the sunshine to shined on the barn. This was one of those rare days that the sun came out for just about fifteen minutes and it brightened our day. You have to live in the northwestern corner of Pennsylvania to be able to get excited about fifteen minutes of sunshine, after two weeks of clouds and snow. In this painting the sun will forever shine.More Information
